About Coach Astrid Bidanec
Astrid Bidanec earned a Master’s degree in multimedia journalism from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla.
She has been working in the news media since high school and got her undergraduate degree in print journalism at Austin Peay State University in Tenn., where she also served as editor-in-chief of The All State campus newspaper. She started covering Mixed Martial Arts when she moved to Tampa in 2007, but switched her focus to web content production and social media management in 2009.
In June 2011 Astrid decided to follow her passion for fitness and helping people lead a healthy lifestyle by becoming a Team Beachbody coach. After overcoming her own weight and health struggles with Insanity and Shakeology, she knew she had to pay it forward by sharing the Beachbody way of life with as many people as possible. (Read her “Why”-story here!)
“Beachbody has changed my life in more ways than one,” said Astrid. “I have never been healthier and happier in my entire life. It really adds tremendous value to your life when you can enjoy good health and help others do the same. I am also proud to work for a company that puts ‘helping others’ way above the mighty dollar.”
When Astrid is not busy helping her Beachbody customers reach their fitness and weight loss goals, she also fights the national obesity epidemic as weight loss & fitness journalist.
Her additional experience includes public relations, online marketing, and fundraising for non-profit organizations like Autism Speaks and the Deaf Service Bureau.
