How to get closed captioning for the Insanity workout DVD’s

First the bad news: Beachbody’s Insanity workout DVDs don’t come with captions. Not to worry though, there is a way to get captions for hearing-impaired and deaf people while playing the DVDs on your computer.

Microsoft Windows Media Player provides automatic captions when you mute the DVD. The same holds true for other workout or educational DVDs from Beachbody. So now everyone can benefit from Shaun T.’s wisdom and motivational drills to truly dig deeper and push yourself past your limits.

Although it’s easy enough to just follow the motions while watching Shaun and his team, the captions allow deaf people to understand the underlying techniques and dynamics such as breathing and utilizing the core. It’s basically all about the little things that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Beachbody’s P90X workout program with Tony Horton, on the other hand, includes closed captioning for TVs. So it’s always a good idea to play your DVDs on your TV first before you opt for the smaller computer screen to get the captions.
