Get your rear in gear with Brazil Butt Lift workouts

If you believe the sexy derrieres of Victoria’s Secret models are God-given, think again.

A hot booty, or “bum bum” as Leonardo Carvalho calls it, takes work. That’s why he created the Brazil Butt Lift workouts which are basically where The Karate Kid meets Striptease with booty-shaking dance moves alternated with high kicks and punches. All that’s missing is a pole.

But all jokes aside– these moves will make you sweat and leave you sore unless you already dance for a living.

You can even customize your workout plan based on the current shape and condition of your behind (anything from too flat to pear shaped and beyond). I recommend being completely honest with yourself and taking a before photo as reality check! Mine almost made me cry, but I worked so much harder after seeing the cold, hard and out-of-shape truth.

Fortunately, captions are included which makes it easy to follow Leonardo in spite of his accent. Of course, it’s also extremely useful for hearing-impaired and deaf people to read his instructions on the TV screen. Nevertheless, be prepared for a little confusion as he moves on to the next exercise with little to no warning. On the bright side, the lack of breaks makes your booty-shaking time go by super-fast while keeping it fun.

For someone used to the intensity from the Insanity and P90X programs, the Brazilian Butt Lift workout might feel more like a warm up or recovery day alternative. In that case using it as a hybrid with any other program might be the best solution.

Since eating right is 80 percent of the battle the program comes with a nutrition guide and recipe book. At this point you should definitely put the donuts down and make a detour on your way to work to avoid all temptation emanating from places like Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks.
